Holy Recasting, Batman!

Maggie Gyllenahaal’s talents have been tapped to take over the role of Rachel Dawes, Bruce Wayne’s love interest/childhood friend, in the new Chris Nolan Batman sequel, The Dark Knight. The new mama assumes the role after Katie Homes, who played the part in Batman Begins, had to drop out due to “scheduling conflicts” ... aka her weekly Scientology brainwashing appointments.

Mrs. Gyllenhaal’s a much stronger choice. She can hold her own on the crime ridden streets of Gotham better than Joey Potter anyday!
